There has been moderate rain (between one-tenth and three-tenths of an inch) in the coastal watershed within the past 2 days, so there will be higher than normal amounts of polluted runoff in beach waters countywide, especially near rivermouths, lagoon openings, storm drain outlets and the like. Beach water contact is not recommended until 48 hours after the end of the last rain event.
